YWIES is the first University of Cambridge International Examination Centre (CIC) in Shandong authorized by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) to provide "through-train"  international programmes including primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (Checkpoint), Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International A/AS Level.

By providing a fully international programme with professional foreign teachers, international curriculum, and advanced educational philosophies. Yew Wah has created an authentic international atmosphere and learning environment in Mainland China. For students this has opened up vast opportunities to the rest of the world, including entry into many universities worldwide, and making it possible for students to play a vital role in the global economy of the future.

Subject to the requirements of the  "Outline for Basic Education " issued by the Ministry of Education, Yew Wah has developed unique programmes that fuse the essence from the Chinese National Curriculum of Primary Education, the Chinese National Secondary Curriculum and Cambridge’s International Curriculum.

YWIES focuses on bilingual teaching and has considerable experience in teaching English and Chinese as secondary languages. The school has a strong team comprising of professional Chinese teachers and more than 30 foreign teachers from the USA, Canada, Australia and other countries. Together we are implementing a new pedagogy, to bring international education to the new generation of China.
